I just wanted to share more of the spirit of Toronto Pride today. So all day I will be uploading photo & video content to my LGBTQ+ resource hub.
I think my favorite photo has to be with my new friend Rosie who have I enjoyed my time with thus far. So now what now what is the plan for the Mayb?
Well we are actually toying with making this the place for the starter company ad agency. We already have the website infrastructure in place and this is one of the higher rated projects I run on WordPress so it just seems like this could work out really well.
Right now we are up to something like 40 subscribers in our global circulation and I am really enthused about the global community relationships I have been working to build.
As far as social media goes, I just filter all my home grown projects through my name now. So be sure to like my page on Facebook below. Thank you for reading, subscribe, comment or email, firstname.lastname@example.org
Oh I am sorry do you want more? To start most of these businesses are not needs based businesses. Meaning the behavior of your customers are too unpredictable to depend on. Secondly what if the platform changes? Or what if the digital method of converting customers change? The answer is no, it is not “you never know!” Dumbest platitude you hear about businesses that are not needs based operations. Just no do not loan finance your business.
Here is how a $1,000 loan looks in these common repayment time frames from a bank at an interest of 25% compounded monthly:
I = J/M .25/12 = 0.02083333333333333333333333333333
N= 12 per year. 12 * 1 , 12 * 2 , 12 * 3
PV * (I+1) ^ 12
PV * (I+1) ^ 24
PV * (I+1) ^ 36
1 year of the loan principal unpaid, $1,280.68
2 years of the loan principal unpaid, $1,640.14
3 years of the loan principal unpaid, $2,100.50 (Three years to double the principal amount) Is it clear this is a scam?
Do not start a recreational business on a small business loan, capital or anything else.Don’t even put it on a credit card. I am serious! Unless you want to lose your business, go bankrupt or any other wonderful thing. Do not do it!
I wish I could go to the lady who was starting my bank loan application in 2015 for a business I should not of wanted and yelled “NO!” in her face for even suggesting it. Web Marketing businesses are terrible to take a loan out on. I’ve met small business owners in Canada who think their Facebook page is their website. Plus people are kind of going the do it yourself direction. So I was aiming for an outdated profession.
Do not start with debt or capital. Start with a hobby and grow organically! Financing a creative, or hobby business is actually a lot like financing a bachelors in Art. Just do not do it! Waste of money & time.
Ashton Deroy writes: These situations talk about some of my key working achievements from 2015-2018. These are highlights from my first job in social media marketing. To managing communications for Seneca Pride and dealing with some search engine issues. Then becoming politically active in 2018 thanks to learning political science at Seneca College and feeling the urge to defeat the party opposition.
Situation # 1: In 2015 I was the social media executive for Kingston Pride.
Obstacle: With Kingston Pride I worked with a committee that did not assign a marketing budget, had a poor relationship with local press and did not have a customer data base.
Solution: I set up a Facebook page to begin managing relationships with the community, promote events & keep track of interactions. Before I was in the door they did not even have a search engine index strategy. They thought a static page would index them. As a result they lost their consumers to independently hosted lgbt+ events.
Situation # 2: In 2016 I created the Seneca Pride website.
Obstacle: Seneca College actually had some search engine association with a rather violent hate crime in 2011. We wanted to change the Seneca College association and LGBT+ presence in 2018. It is not that we want to ignore the crime. It is that we want a positive image for Seneca LGBT+ students.
Solution: I created info-graphics, event promotion posts & content around the group which pushed the bad content down in the search engine.
Situation # 3: In 2018 I started volunteering for the Ontario Liberal Party.
Obstacle: There has been growing popularity to the opposition party’s campaign.
Solution: I work to persuade votes, create content to back my standing and continue to advocate for the incumbent government. what this really proves is my loyalty. The Liberals may not win in 2018 but I dedicated my time to make an impact with them.
In 2014 I completed my diploma in creative advertising and in 2015 I completed my graduate certificate in Interactive marketing. I have been in many roles over my career which have lead to life lessons I take with me everywhere. My key experience to forming my career path was in 2013 when I was a customer service representative at Convergys for the Rogers Communications client.From here I was able to see a front row to industry trends in media, learn how to work the company’s invoice system and predict the decline of cable TV. I’ve also worked in telemarketing and tech support.
My biggest strengths can be narrowed down to three key areas. Customer service, customer retention and sales. The uniqueness about working primarily in telecom is I have dealt with some of the most complicated user experience issues in mobile services, printing & cable. The combination of working in these three areas have turned me in to a very effective communicator. While supporting email systems inside a company, I actually learned to set up my own email systems. That was around the time I started focusing on creating a website support business.
I want to work in a communications role on the telephone, for a political party, tech company or finance company. I think I can be a major asset and a problem solver. I aim to have a life centered on the pursuit of career. Not the pursuit of a personal life.
Good morning readers, click the picture above to find out about our guest spot opportunities. I would love for this blog to become more communal over the next year. I want to release other web-based businesses editorials, information, and even host interviews. In order to grow into a full operation though, we must get funding. I have a tone of writers, designers and organizers I would like to see have full-blown jobs in 2020 and I do not think that is far fetched.
In order to do this though we must continue to grow our platform and we want your help to do so! Sponsorship is not that much money. $15 and now the guest posts are only $5 so please help us grow into a fully functional digital operation. Thank you for reading this post.
